North Shore Associates records, 1973-2010. This collection consists of membership directories for the woman's organization from 1973 through 2010. North Shore Associates was formed in 1946 as the Intermediary Group of the Woman's Club of Wilmette. In 1950, they were forced to sever ties to the Woman's Club because of the policy of the National Organization of Women's Clubs forbidding local groups from having more than one auxilliary group. The Associates was dedicated to providing direct service (not money) to philanthropical causes and to holding social events for its members. |
