Description |
Nineteen (19) Native American-made stone projectile points. These point were found by Peter Braun (son of Bernard and Anna Braun) on the Braun family farm, 728 Illinois Road and given to the donor 60 plus years ago. Peter was the donor's great-uncle on his maternal side. These points are probably made of chert. Twelve of them appear to be arrow heads and most are whitish-gray in color, except one is dark gray and one more brown. All have a stem, except one which may be broken. Two larger points, also made of whitish-gray stone, appear to be spear points or knives. Both have stems, although one is missing part of the stem. The final group are smaller, elongated points and may be smaller spear points or knives. All but one have stems. |
