Set of four scrapbooks containing cartoons and some newspaper clippings from World War I, and one box of cartoons. Green canvas covers. A. Vol. 1: July 1914 - September 1914 - 268 cartoons and news photos B. Vol. 2: October 1914 - March 6, 1915 - (some unposted newspaper articles) C. Vol. 3: March 10, 1915 to December 7, 1916 - 279 cartoons D. Vol. 4: December 10, 1916 to December 31, 1916 -- mostly unfilled pages E. Box of clippings of cartoons - 904 loose (according to note on inside back cover of Vol. 3) Also in this box were three complete issues of Lake Shore News for 1917 that have been relocated to F1-1-2. Cartoonists represented include Robert McCutcheon, Carey Orr, and Edward Bradley. Some of these have now been sorted into folders by artist. |
