Description |
The Masonic officer jewel for the Tyler or Tiler, made of a light silver metal and attached to a blue rope lanyard. The Tyler's jewel is the sword. The Tyler's job is to guard the door from the outside with a drawn sword to ensure that only those who are qualified can gain entry into the lodge meeting. The Tyler can be responsible for preparing the lodge room before the meeting and for storing and maintaining the regalia after the meeting. |
