Description |
White cotton child-sized T-shirt worn on a Little League team. The shirt is made of thin white cotton, fashioned without side-seams. Rounded ribbed neckline and short sleeves. On the front in large orange heat-transferred caps: "FLOWERS / BY / COLETTE." On the reverse, also in heat-transferred orange: "2." Written on the inside back of the ribbed neck area in (most likely black marker, now faded to purple): "HITT." This shirt was worn by Jeffrey Hitt in the early 1970s when he was on a Little League team which was sponsored by Flowers By Colette, a flower shop located on Wilmette Avenue in downtown Wilmette, near the railroad tracks. |
