Description |
Brown street sign installed on Wilmette street corner to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Village. This sign was visible on 11th Street from September 1995 to September 1996. See also 1998.089.001-004 for four more of the many commemorative street signs created for Wilmette's 125th anniversary. Commemorative signs were installed along Lake Avenue and Wilmette Avenue from the lake to Ridge Road. East Railroad Avenue (1998.089.001) is now Poplar Avenue; State Street (.2) is now Sheridan Road; Gage Street (.3) now is 13th Street; and Division Street (.4) now is 8th Street. All signs have marks and holes in them from where they were attached to poles. |
