Description |
Mechanical pencil (A), box (B), and instruction sheet (C). Pencil is black plastic, with silver metal pocket clip and tip. Top lifts off, underneath is eraser; lead is advanced by twisting the lower portion of the pencil. On barrel, in white, is banner with words "Overhead Door," under which are the words "with the Miracle Wedge." To the right of this: "Lee J. Pape, Distributor / 210 - 17th St., Wilmette, Illinois / Phone - Wilmette 3437." Pocket clip is inscribed "Autopoint / Pat. Made in USA". Contains a thick pencil lead; eraser looks like it has never been used. Paper box (B) is patterned brown with flaps at each end; on one side "Autopoint / The Better Pencil," on other "Made in U. S. of A." Sheet (C) found in box has yellow highlights with black lettering. Entitled, "Autopoint, the better pencil, because of the tip that grips the lead." Gives instructions on "How to load your Autopoint pencil." Back features other products from Autopoint company, located on Foster Street in Chicago. |
