Description |
Component of a Wilmette Police Officer's uniform. Pieces in the donation consist of two shirts, pants, hat, utility belt, outer carrier or vest, and pair of shoes. All are mostly dark blue in color. Long-sleeved shirt. This shirt is made of 75% polyester and 25% dark blue wool fabric. Turn down collar, seven black plastic buttons and corresponding buttonholes down center front. Acetate lining on inner yoke. Epaulettes. Shoulder patch is machine-embroidered shield-shape which has at top, in gold caps: "WILMETTE / POLICE / [in a sun shape] a Native American stands on a shore looking over the water which includes a sunrise and a sailing ship]." There are two pleated flap pockets at either breast, along with reinforced sections of doubled fabric designed to accommodate nameplates and other IDs. Label at top of inner neck edge is red, white and blue woven rayon: FLYING [medal and ribbon] CROSS / www.flyingcross.com." Printed white label on tail: "JUSTICE / PO-215407 / 57R8486 / 75% POLYESTER / 25% WOOL / [laundering instructions]." |
