Description |
Embossed Easter postcard. On the picture side is printed a color picture of a basket or boat-load of purple violets with the words, "Easter Greetings" below, all surrounded by a purple and gold background with a depiction of a light purple bow, the entire picture resembling a gift. On the verso is a divided back. Printed along the top in green ink are the words, "POST CARD", and in the lower left corner is printed M300, probably the publishing company's number. The left side of the card has a handwritten message in pencil which reads, "I hope the Easter Bunny will not forget you because I know you like eggs but don't eat them all save me one. [signed] H.J.". The right side has the address, which reads "Anton Borre / Gross Point / Ill. / Glen view rd. / c/o Nick Borre". The postmark, partially cut off on top, reads, "Gross Point / ILL. / Mar 26 / AM / 1921". There is a cancelled, two-cent US stamp in the upper right corner. |
