Description |
The Masonic officer jewel for the Junior or Senior Steward, made of a light silver metal and attached to a blue lanyard. The Steward's jewel depicts a cornucopia, symbolizing plenty of food. The Steward fulfill assistant roles for the Junior Warden. They help set up the lodge room, prepare all new candidates before entering the lodge for their degree rituals, and escort them around the room alongside the two Deacons. They may also assist with meals and refreshments. The Stewards, like the Deacons, also carry rods. Their rods are topped with the jewels of their offices. (See 2020.023.030) Some Lodges have two Stewards (Junior and Senior) and others have multiple. |
