Description |
White printed cotton t-shirt commemorating the Wilmette - Mona Vale, Australia Sister Cities Exchange Program that operated from about 1982 to 2016. Printed on the front side of the tee shirt at chest level, left side, is an oval depiction of the map of world in blue and green. Above the map are the words, "USA Australia", and below the map are the words, "Sister Cities" - all in black lettering. Printed on the back is a color design representing the two high schools from the communities: crossed national flags for Australia and the USA with a bald eagle holding the USA flag and a kangaroo holding the Australian flag. Above the Australian flag is the word "Pittwater" and above the American flag are the words, "New Trier", the names of the two high schools. Below the design are the words, "Student & Teacher Exchange." Two tags sewn together at the back of the neck indicate that the shirt was made by Fruit of the Loom Company and that it is a size large, 100% cotton. Glued inside the right sleeve is a tag with a series of printed numbers, the words, "Bandfo Mangas / Blanco," and the date, 12/05/99 - possibly a tag from the factory or printer. |
