Description |
Ecru cotton lace canopy on a parasol with a curved, etched wooden handle. The parasol stands 38'-high and is covered by a fine, machine-made ecru cotton lace. The end is made of turned wood in a corkscrew fashion. The underside of the canopy is lined in two layers of (now shattered) silk which has a deeply pinked edge. The ribs are situated in such a way as to leave an unlined border of lace around the parasol when it is opened. The ribs, slide, and stretchers are black painted metal. Affixed to one stretcher is black and copper metal label: "PARAGON [image of running fox]" -- see Notes and Legal. |
