Description |
Photographic print of fingerprints on a clock taken at crime scene by a fingerprint camera. The print has been cut into two sections and 3 hole punched in order to fit into a binder, but the image is made from the same negative. 2012.39.4A is the left side and 2012.39.4B is the right side. The image depicts fingerprints on a Ben Bolt clock, as evidenced by the words "Ben Bolt Made By Makers of Big Ben" near the bottom of both halves of the print. 2012.39.4A shows a very clear fingerprint near the center of the print and other, smaller, partial prints. There is also a partial maker's mark near the top left corner and a knob near the top right corner of this half of the print. 2012.39.4B contains more smudged prints and a partion of a clock face near the top edge. Part of the word "Silent" is cut off on the right side of the print. The reverse of this half has a handwritten note in blue ink reading: "6-5-37 / Enlargement of latent print on silver sugar bowl electric clock. Burglary at Dickinson 225 Laurel Ave Wilmette. Photographed by Inspector Bennett - Evanston Police." |
