Description |
Credit or charge card used by Lad & Lassie Clothing Store, specializing in children's wear. The white plastic card was used for customers who had a store account. This card has the following information printed on it in raised black lettering: " 8415 / Robert C. Trotter / 2822 Blackhawk Rd / Wilmette Ill 60091". This is the family of the late chef Charlie Trotter. The card also has two notches cut in the top so that the card could be stored on a tabletop, rotating file cabinet (a kind of Rolodex-type system). Back of card is blank. The card was given to the Museum when the store closed in January 2020. The store had hundreds of such cards for store accounts; these cards were kept at the store, not with the customer. |
