Waist-length portrait of Archange Ouilmette in orange robe with shell necklace. Black braided hair. This is a copy of the painting by George Lusk in Wilmette Village Hall, painted in the 1930s. Archange Ouilmette lived from approximately 1764 to 1840. It was painted by Sister M. Mary of the Sisters of Christian Charity at Mallinckrodt, Wilmette. An article in Wilmette Life, in April 22, 1968, p.3, titled,"Guess Who's Coming To Heritage Dinner?" is about the acquisition of this painting. Scan 4 is from a black and white print from 1989 |
